We are thrilled to announce our soprano soloist for CARMINA BURANA this summer!
Milana Sarukhanyan is an especially exciting talent and we are honoured to have her join us. Milana is an artist through to her core and throughout her life the captivating world of classical repertoire for voice has fascinated her, with its unique singing style that demands both physical and artistic prowess.
Milana describes her favourite part of the process as the moment when she steps into the rehearsal space, having meticulously prepared a work and her role in isolation, and describes it as truly transformative. Milana feels it is akin to the final piece of a puzzle falling seamlessly into place. Suddenly, finding herself amidst a team of passionate individuals, each contributing their part, is where the magic happens, where the synergy of minds and hearts create something far greater than the sum of its parts.
Milana’s remarkable musical journey has gifted her the opportunity to witness the birth of extraordinary moments on stage, where every emotion, every note, and every movement intertwines to convey the depth and complexity of the human experience. And if it’s human experience and entertainment you’re after – all we can say is that Carmina Burana won’t disappoint!
This is an experience not to be missed! In addition to our marvellous soloists previously announced Greg Tassel (Tenor), Charne Rochford (Baritone), we are joining forces with St Ives Choral Society for this huge work by Carl Orff. We advise securing your tickets promptly, as demand is expected to be high! We will also be playing Christopher Brown’s ‘To the Hills’ which has been composed especially for The Hunts Phil.
