We are thrilled to announce our soloist for next month’s concert, Soprano April Fredrick.
April first sang Along the Field with Multiplicity, a collective exploring site-specific and innovative performance contexts, as part of a programme exploring ideas of the pastoral. She has recently finished a run with Green Opera singing ‘Judit’ in Bartok’s Bluebeard’s Castle, which she also recorded with the ESO.
Hailed as ‘astonishing and luminous’ (Bachtracks), April loves words and stories, and the way that they fire composers’ imaginations and in turn, the audience’s imagination, connecting us with those who have come before.
April is a frequent soloist with orchestras across the UK and a champion of new work on both the concert and opera stage. She is also an Associate Artist with the English Symphony Orchestra, which whom she performs regularly. She is a founding member of Dei Gratia Baroque Ensemble, helping audiences rediscover Baroque sacred masterworks in their original devotional context.
We are really looking forward to this! Don’t miss it….
